Dental Garden is excited to announce the addition of the cutting-edge STA Wand to our dental services. This innovative technology ensures painless single tooth anaesthesia for both children and adults, revolutionising dental procedures and enhancing patient comfort.
The STA Wand, short for Single Tooth Anaesthesia, allows for precise and controlled delivery of anaesthesia to a single tooth, eliminating the discomfort and anxiety associated with traditional injections. This breakthrough technology is particularly beneficial for patients who experience dental anxiety or have a low pain threshold.
Key Benefits of the STA Wand:
At Dental Garden, we focus on providing the highest level of care and the latest advancements in dental technology. The introduction of the STA Wand aligns with our mission to enhance patient experiences and ensure the best possible outcomes for their oral health.
“We are thrilled to offer our patients this advanced technology that significantly improves the comfort and efficiency of dental procedures,” said Dr Frances Ershad, lead dentist at Dental Garden. “The STA Wand represents a major leap forward in dental care, and we are proud to be at the forefront of this innovation.”

At Dental Garden, we believe in the power of a smile. We understand that oral health is a vital part of overall well-being, and we are committed to making dental care accessible to everyone in our community.
We are thrilled to announce that we now offer bulk billing for Hospital Vouchers from the Oral Health Fee For Service Scheme (OHFFSS), Child Dental Benefit Scheme (CDBS), and Veterans Affairs (DVA). This initiative is a significant step towards our goal of providing comprehensive, high-quality dental care to all, especially those who are most in need.
The OHFFSS, CDBS, and DVA schemes are designed to help those who might otherwise find it challenging to access necessary dental care. By accepting these schemes, we can ensure that more people in our community receive the dental treatments they need, without the stress of financial burden.
Our decision to offer these options is rooted in our commitment to serve our community. We believe in looking after those who are facing life's tough challenges, and we see this as an opportunity to give back and make a positive impact.
We are proud to be a part of the OHFFSS, CDBS, and DVA schemes, and we look forward to welcoming all patients who will benefit from this service. Together, we can create a healthier, happier community, one smile at a time.
If you have any questions about our bulk billing services or if you'd like to book an appointment, please don't hesitate to contact us. We're here to help!
On Wednesday, April 24, 2024, Dental Garden Hunters Hill hosted a remarkable event—the Dental Rescue Day. This special day was dedicated to serving our community by providing essential dental services to those who often face barriers to access: disadvantaged and underprivileged Australians.
At Dental Garden, we believe that oral health is a fundamental right for everyone, regardless of their socio-economic status. Partnering with the Filling the Gap charity, we set out to make a difference in the lives of those who need it most. Our team of dedicated professionals volunteered their time and expertise to ensure that no smile was left behind.
Our patients on Dental Rescue Day were more than just names on a schedule—they were real people with unique stories. Some had never received proper dental care due to financial constraints, while others faced additional challenges such as homelessness or disability. Despite their hardships, they arrived at our clinic with hope and trust, seeking relief from pain and a chance to regain their smiles.
Throughout the day, our compassionate team offered a range of dental services:
As the day unfolded, we witnessed the transformation of more than just teeth. We saw hope rekindled, pain alleviated, and self-esteem restored. For many patients, this was their first positive experience with dental care—a moment they would carry with them long after leaving our clinic.
We feel immensely proud and honored to have been part of Dental Rescue Day. Our gratitude extends to our entire team, including Dr. Frances Ershad, Dr. Winston Lee, and our dedicated dental assistants Shaina Bhudia, Anna Enkhbayar and Tanya Bianca Schreurs who helped out and volunteered. Their commitment to service exemplifies the spirit of Dental Garden.
Dental Rescue Day was not just a one-time event; it’s a commitment we hold dear. We pledge to continue supporting our community, advocating for accessible dental care, and spreading smiles far and wide.
Thank you to all our patients, volunteers, and partners who made this day possible. Together, we bridge gaps, one smile at a time.
We are thrilled to announce that our dedicated team at Dental Garden Hunters Hill has recently completed the Cynergex Management of Medical Emergencies in the Dental Practice training. Led by the esteemed instructor, Lizzie, this comprehensive program equips our dental professionals with essential skills to handle critical situations effectively.

Dr. Frances Ershad and staff of Dental Garden donates their time to the Filling the Gap charity, which provides pro bono dental treatment to those in need. Over the past two years, their network of volunteers has provided dental service worth more than $800,000 to 900 patients over 1300 dental appointments. Filling the Gap works in partnership with charities to provide dental treatment to their clients who are in need, including refugees and asylum seekers, victims of domestic violence, women and men who are living in hostels and people recovering from addiction. They have a network of dentists in NSW and the ACT who provide the treatment. They rely on the generosity and expertise of dentists and dental professionals to treat patients on their waiting lists.
Filling the Gap offers several dental aid programs for those in need:
1. Dental Aid Clinics: Volunteer a day working in the clinic treating patients, including asylum seekers and others in desperate need of care.
2. Adopt a Patient: Provide a course of treatment for one or more patients in your practice (ADHF Program).
3. Dental Rescue Day: Held in your practice on a day convenient to you and treating multiple patients in one day (ADHF Program).
